Cotswolds Paintings feature at Cotswolds Summer Antiques Fair
Historic views of Tewkesbury Abbey, Goodrich Castle on the River Wye and the River Severn feature at The Cotswolds Decorative, Antiques & Art Fair at Westonbirt School, near Tetbury, Gloucestershire, from 11th – 13th August 2023.
The paintings, which all have a strong Cotswolds connection, will be shown by local art dealer Derek Newman of Newman Fine Art, specialists in watercolour paintings from the 18th to 20th century.
Ernest Chadwick RI (1876-1955) depicts Tewkesbury Abbey in summer sunshine; Charles Gere, RA RWS (1869-1957), shows the Severn in an evening light; while the famous watercolourist John Varley (1778-1842), reveals Goodrich Castle as a deserted relic of another age.
Featuring art and antiques specialists from across the UK, this popular summer fair is the place to buy everything including the most traditional antique pieces to the latest in decorative chic style.
Says organiser Sue Ede: ‘This is where people come to decorate and furnish their homes in their own personal style. Mixing and matching antique and contemporary with Mid-Century accessories, fine art, sculpture and furniture from the past centuries. Our Cotswolds Fair has it all!’
